ARCC is an exclusive lodge with 8 accommodation bungalows; a total capacity for just 16 guests. Each raised, hexagonal bungalow is palm thatched and constructed of beautiful hardwoods. Each accommodation bungalow contains a comfortable double room, with large, curtained, screened windows and forest views, and an electric fan for a cooling breeze. The beds have mosquito nets provided for extra security; soft electric lighting and battery recharging points are provided in all rooms, for recharging cameras or videos- but don’t expect your mobile phone to work at ARCC! It is a very remote location. Electricity is unlimited throughout the day and evening, but is turned off later in the night, typically around 10pm. Candles are provided for late night lighting. The stylish bathrooms are lined with ceramic tiles and polished hardwoods and boast hot showers; hot water is available 24 hours a day. The private balcony is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the tranquillity of the bungalow’s own garden.
Meals are served in the spacious and elegant dining hall, with a cavernous roof and large screened windows. The dining hall has one grand table, seating 18, and side tables where tea, coffee, fresh drinking water and snacks are available, self-service, throughout the day. There is also an area with hammocks for relaxation, and a small shop area selling locally produced handicrafts and other items. The lounge bar has some comfortable seating and a well stock bar, serving chilled beer, soft drinks, wine and spirits.
The main dinning hall, bungalows and lake jetty are all connected by well maintained, sandy pathways, which are illuminated at night by lamps, beautifully illuminating the surrounding vegetation and allowing you to walk between the buildings with safety and confidence! The palm thatched lake jetty, 50m from the dining hall, is ideal for observing the lakes’ wildlife, at any hour of the day.

Pantiacolla Lodge

There are 4 bungalows with 2 rooms each with shared toilets and showers, and 1 bungalow with 3 rooms with private toilets and showers. The lounge exhibits many remains of animals found in the forest around Pantiacolla and also ancient pottery brought in by the explorers looking for the lost city El Paititi in the Pantiacolla Mountain Range. We only use candles for lighting; however, there is a generator to recharge your batteries. Temperatures are between 28C (82F) during the day and 20C (68F) at night. Between May and July, the temperature may drop to 18C (64F) during the day and 10C (50F) at night for a couple of days each month. One of the lodge’s many virtues is to have very few biting insects! insects!
